Q. What can I expect from my first session?

A. It takes courage to reach out for support and I understand that. If you have any questions prior to booking, or would like to see if this would be a good fit for you, I offer a free 20-minute consultation that can be done over the phone. During the first session, we will fill out paperwork, discuss your goals, and make a treatment plan.

 

Q. Are my sessions confidential?

A. All sessions are confidential. This means that I will not share any information that you disclose to me, except under certain conditions. These limits to confidentiality include:

  1. Risk of imminent danger to yourself or others
  2. Neglect or abuse of a minor child or dependent adult

  3. Subpoena by courts

  4. When you have given written permission to your therapist to release part or all of the information in your file

 

Q. What are your fees?

A. Prior to booking your first session, I offer a free 20 minute consultation. Contact me for this option. From there, fees are as recommended by the Psychologists Association of Alberta. 

 

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. Please note that I require a 48 hour cancellation. Cancellations can be made via email or phone. There will be a $50 fee for any cancellations within the 48 hour window.

 

Q. How often do I need to come?

A. This will depend entirely on your treatment goals. Some clients come weekly, biweekly, monthly, or when needed. We can discuss this either in the free 20 minute consultation or in your first session.
